From our community to your inbox, we trace what's worth discovering—the finds, voices, and recommendations shaping how we choose.

Hello friends,

Winter has officially won. My hands look like I've been doing outdoor construction work, my skin is so dry it itches constantly, and my lips have fully given up. This is not who I am meant to be. 😫

So I went digging through hili and found the creams, oils, and balms our community has been saving and sharing. I especially love the new-to-me brands making products in small batches with better ingredients. The kind of finds you only stumble on when real people with good taste are sharing the things they use and love.

None of us should have to suffer through February, but I’ve shared a few recs below to make it a little less miserable.

Stay soft out there.

What our community is reaching for this February

Here's to the brands quietly making the things we actually need and the people who find them, try them, and can't stop telling everyone about it. This week that someone is you.

Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm | $49
“This hand lotion is hydrating and the smell is incredible. It is not greasy and lasts for a long time.

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion | $9.50
“Lush has really great lotion for when my skin is especially dry and this one has a nice, calming scent for relaxing before bed. I also love how Lush uses natural ingredients like oat milk and almond oil, Fair Trade Organic cocoa butter, and is against animal testing.

Nuxe Honey Lip Balm | $20
“Love to put this on at night in the winter when going to bed!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream | $5
“My husband loves this in winter - it's really deeply moisturizing

Maya Chia The Super Blend Pressed Serum | $110
“This SAVES my face during the winter plus I use it for my hands and cuticles as well. It's a bit pricey, but I've used it for 2 years now and am only have through the jar. A little bit goes a long way!

Karite Shea Butter Moisturizers | $56
“This shea butter body cream is so smooth and perfect for any skin. I love giving it as gifts - especially the travel set!

🤩 Community hilight

New! Every week we will be spotlighting someone in our community whose collections are too good not to share.

This week we're introducing Anita. By day she's a general partner at Renew Ventures. By night she is apparently running a one-woman nail art operation out of her home and her collection proves it. If you've been curious about doing your own gel nails but have no idea where to start or what to buy, Anita has done the research so you don't have to.

Here are a few things I have been digging this week:

🖼️ As a designer, I have spent hours examining the exquisite beauty and craft of the official Olympic Games posters through the years.

🧵 This textile art from Sandrine Torredemer is incredible. I love how she used fabric and thread to illustrate this people and place that are so full of life.

⛷️ My husband grew up in Sun Valley, ID so I was enthralled by this look at America’s first destination ski resort.

Did you know you can send Asks just to your friends on hili? Think of it as your group chat, but organized. The best books to read, gifts to give, recipes to try. You can save all your recs into a shared board, too. All in one place, nothing lost.
